Damage/Safety Concerns:
Yes! Professionally applied eyelash extensions from Blink are safe. Our stylists are highly skilled and trained.
Not if applied correctly and appropriately. The appropriate weight should be taken into consideration so that too much tension is not applied to your lashes to harm your follicles. If done correctly, you can maintain lash extensions indefinitely with zero natural lashes damage.
Eyelash extensions can be a blessing with those that have sensitive eyes or allergies. By not having to constantly apply and remove mascara daily, eyes can be free of flaking smearing. The extension is only applied to the actual lash, not your skin, so most likely you will have less irritation.
Yes! Because they are only applied to the eyelash and not the skin, they are safe. You may notice more or less shedding due to hormonal changes, so the need for more or less fills could happen.
Lifestyle Questions:
For best results, eyelashes should be filled every two to three weeks. Going longer between fills may require a new full set.
No. Mascara will alter the lash bond. Our extensions make lashes fuller, thicker, richer and more defined, so no mascara is needed.
Yes! The adhesive used by Blink will completely cure by the end of the appointment and is completely water proof. In fact, washing the extensions daily is recommended to keep the follicles clean and clear of any dead skin cell build up.
A gentle foam cleanser is recommended (and provided by Blink after first initial full set appointment) with either your fingertips or a gentle bristled brush. Pat dry with a towel. A hair dryer on cool can also speed up the drying process.
Yes! Eye shadow and eyeliner is OK. As long as it is gently removed before bed with the gentle technique discussed. Mascara of any kind should be avoided on extensions. Mascara for bottom lashes is fine.
Yes. Sleeping face down should be avoided. If any sleep related issue occurs, a cupped sleep mask is recommended to keep lashes safe from any night rubbing of eyes.
No. There will be no need for a curler because the extension stay curls throughout their life span. Using a curler at anytime can break the adhesive bond and cause the extensions to fall off prematurely
Maintenance/Care:
Oils, heavy creams and lotions should be avoided directly in the eye area. Prolonged use over time can weaken the adhesive bond, causing the extension to fall off prematurely.

It is recommended to use a gentle foam cleanser daily with either your fingertips or a gentle bristles brush. Concentrate on getting close to the lash line as possible. Rinse and pat dry. Re-fluff with a dry mascara wand.
If the extensions are falling off prematurely, I would look closely to the products you are using on your face daily. Do they contain oils and emollients? That could be breaking down the adhesive. Also, are you touching or picking at your lashes with your hands often? Are you sleeping on your face or rubbing your eyes during sleep? If so, a sleep mask should be worn. Or do you just have super oily skin? Oily clients have to get fills more frequently due to the quicker break down.
Lashes are constantly in one of 3 growth phases. 1. Shedding 2. Dormant 3. Growth Having lash extensions does not cause any of these things to occur. Hormonal changes or some medications can make the shedding phase more severe. But extensions, themselves, when applied appropriately, won’t cause extra shedding to occur.
Style/Comparison:
A lash lift is putting a “perm chemical” solution on your lashes to straighten and lift your natural lashes. You will not gain any thickness, length or color to your natural lashes. Only a lifted appearance, and often mascara is still needed to get the complete desired effect.
Lash extensions will lengthen, darken, thicken and curl your natural lashes until it sheds naturally. No need for mascara!
The right lash style should be chosen by the desired effect along with the condition of your natural lashes. The length and width of each extension should be appropriate for the overall health and well being of your natural lashes so that no harm is done and they can be worn indefinitely. The extensions can be super natural to dense and dramatic.
Yes! A classic style or a light volume can look very natural. All you, only better!

Practical:
Make sure your eyelashes are squeaky clean. Other face makeup is fine. I also recommend to not have any serious caffeine right before your appointment so that you can relax during the process.
No! In fact it can be so relaxing, you fall asleep! We call this the “lash nap”. And the best part is you wake up looking fabulous! Now there can be a little irritation and eye watering at first when your eyes open, but that is just from the adhesive glue fumes and it dissipates very quickly.
A fill is generally on hour long. That is if it’s o my been 2-3 weeks since your full set. During this appointment, some extensions are carefully removed and new ones are applied to the new growth.
A full set can take anywhere from one to two full hours, just depending on the total amount of eyelashes you have and the desired outcome you are looking for.
Yes. I have a product that can safely and effectively remove the extensions gently without harming the natural lash underneath. This process can take anywhere from 15 minutes to a half hour.
Eyelash extensions will cost $150 for a full set of Lashes. One hour Lash fills (recommended every two to three weeks) starts at $180.
A 24-hour notice is required for all booked appointments to cancel or reschedule. We will try to accommodate your appointment changes as much as possible, but we cannot guarantee another available appointment within your desired time frame. More time may be needed to complete your appointment, and thus the client will be charged accordingly.
All new Blink clients will be required to secure your initial appointment with a credit card for 100% of the booked service fee. Credit cards will be charged 24 hours prior to booked appointment. If a new client cancels appointment 24 hours prior to booked appointment, your credit card will not be charged. However, after that 24-hour window, the full fee will be charged and is nonrefundable.
Current Blink clients may be required to prepay for booked appointments if an appointment is a no-show or is cancelled after the 24-hour window.
